Teneriffa

Über die Destination

Tenerife is the largest and most populous island of the seven Canary Islands. Tenerife is where tourists come to enjoy the sunny beaches, to discover it's majestic and craggy volcanic lunar landscape of the Teide National park and richness of it's folklore. Its 269 kilometres of coast offer a wide variety of places to enjoy the sun and the sea. In the north, where the countryside is steep with cliffs, you will find small bays and natural pools, whereas in the south, such as in the municipalities of Adeje and Arona, you will find numerous beaches, most of which are volcanic in origin.

Teide Glens tour

Tag 7 - General tour - Pick up from Santa Cruz
Marvel at the volcanic landscapes of Teide National Park as you journey to the top of Spain's highest mountain, and third highest volcano in the world: Mount Teide

Highlights
- Admire the unique landscapes created by mother nature
- View the summit of El Teide from a privileged vantage point
- An unforgettable day in El Teide National Park

Explore the white mountain that gave its name to Tenerife, sacred to the Guanche aboriginal people, in a full day tour. If you are staying in Tenerife, a visit to Mt. Teide should definitely be on your list of things to do.

After being picked up from your resort you will soon find yourself heading up the mountain towards El Teide National Park, where you can enjoy impressive views down over the valley and the northern coastline.

As you climb beyond the tree-line you will enter an almost dreamlike landscape of rock, and dazzling light, and feel like you are on another world. Admire the power of mother nature, as you pass by lava flows cascading down the mountain from a time gone by. Enjoy the unique beauty that El Teide National Park holds until you reach Llano de Ucanca. From here we can admire the summit that stands 3,718 metres high, and Los Roques de Garcia. A mysterious site, that no words can describe.

Once here, weather permitting, you can catch a cable car to the summit (payable locally) – the view from the top is truly impressive - on a clear day you’ll be able to spot Gran Canaria, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro. There will also be time to have some lunch or a picnic (not included) before heading back down to your resort.

Do not miss the chance to see a different side to Tenerife, we promise it is worth it, and you will be able to capture some amazing photos.

La Gomera

Tag 8 - Fred Olsen - South Zone deutsch
Follow the sound of the secret Canary Island whistles and they will lead you to a marvelous island biosphere reserve. Discover Garajonay, a National Park that guards a tragic love story wrapped in dense forrest.

Highlights
- Discover the lush green valleys of Garajonay National Park
- Enjoy a typical lunch
- Drive through the spellbinding Hermigua Valley

Have a great day out on La Gomera and get to know the most interesting parts of this beautiful island. This tour starts at the port of Los Cristianos where you’ll take the ferry to San Sebastian de la Gomera, main port and capital of the island. Once there we’ll climb to the Garajonay National Park, nature reserve and World Heritage Site where you’ll be entranced by the ancient, misty laurel forest with its many ferns and moss covered rocks.

We’ll make a stop at the Mirador de la Degollada de Peraza where you’ll get the chance to enjoy panoramic views over the whole island. We’ll drive on through la Palmita, heading directly into the National Park where we’ll make a stop at the picturesque villages of Las Rosas and Agulo. There, we’ll have time for lunch in a typical local restaurant where you’ll get to see a live demonstration of the ''Gomera Whistle'', a unique language developed here for communication over the island’s long distances separated by deep gorges.

If we have time, after lunch we’ll make a stop at the Juego de Bolas Visitor Centre. We’ll then drive through the lush Hermigua Valley, with its hillsides covered with banana plantations, back down to San Sebastian, where you can visit the Torre del Conde and La Casa de Colón, following in the footsteps of Christopher Columbus before he sailed off into the unknown on his first voyage of discovery. After exploring the city, you go back to the ferry for the return trip to Tenerife.
