But there's more to Istanbul than Byzantine and Ottoman heritage. A fast-growing economy contributed to a flourishing arts and music scene, with a plethora of new bars, clubs, private art galleries, restaurants and designer fashion outlets.

Marmaris is famous for its rich cultural heritage, ancient old town, magnificent natural surroundings, several modern marinas, many coves along its coast and a natural harbor surrounded by pine-clad hills. The old town is a maze of twisting little streets and alleys with whitewashed houses amid an excellent shopping bazaar. The Castle has lovely views from its ramparts and is well worth a visit. The coastline is ideal for water sports, sailing, relaxing in the sun, or strolling along the palm lined promenade. Marmaris is a stylish and cosmopolitan resort with numerous nightspot or restaurants. It is one of Turkey's biggest tourist resorts but it has managed to retain much of its charm. The hills running in to the sea and the beautiful bays make Marmaris very special.
