Nice každé leto prekonáva búrky turizmu so všetkými obvyklými atribútmi mesta na Riviére: neformálnym bohatstvom, rozsiahlou plážou, múzeami, kvetinovými alejami, ale chýba mu nafúkaná odmeranosť svojich susedov. Navyše, Nice je požehnané dobrým verejným dopravou v meste a do všetkých bodov na Côte d’Azur, čo ho robí dobrým východiskovým bodom pre objavovanie Riviéry. Dlhá úzka pláž a opaľujúci sa hostia sú hlavnými atrakciami mesta pre väčšinu návštevníkov. Napriek tomu, staré mesto Nice, vieille ville, stojí za návštevu.
